I'm the founder of Daney, an online education collective dedicated to empowering hair salon owners, stylists, and apprentices. Here’s a bit about my journey and why I’m passionate about transforming our industry.
My Journey
From the moment I was taken under the wing of a stylist at 18, I learned the foundations of being a woman in business and leading with strength and understanding. Over the years, I’ve worked in various salons, experiencing both the highs and lows of our industry. I’ve seen the struggles of talented stylists who lacked business acumen, leading to poor communication and team dynamics. This sparked my determination to create a positive, supportive environment in the beauty industry. At 35, I am a proud mother of three and the co-founder of Fika Beauty Studio. I’ve built a successful salon that allows me to balance my professional and personal life. I now work three days a week, dedicating the rest of my time to family and other passions. My goal with Daney is to share the lessons I’ve learned and help others achieve the same balance and success.
